Quote from Built In Corner Pantry Cabinet :
Candie and Steven Tramonte had one of those little L-shaped, reach-in pantries – nothing to brag about, but it served a purpose. Boxed and canned goods and everyday kitchen staples lined its shelves.
Whether you have a wide kitchen with a bit of space to spare or a compact kitchen with nowhere else for the pantry to go, using a tall cabinet at one end of the kitchen can be a beautiful solution. This sort of layout creates an appealing symmetry with a tall cabinet at the other end for a fridge or other appliances.
Cabinet depth plays an important role in a food pantry. Vitzthum prefers one side lined with deep cabinets, and narrower storage, about eight inches deep, along remaining walls. “Eight inches of depth is typical, particularly above waist level,” she says. “You don’t want to have more than two cans in a row on a shelf. Things get lost in the back. Unused dead space would be better served by more maneuvering room.
You can convert a cabinet by adding rolling shelves and wire racks to the interiors and doors for a functional cabinet that frees up counter space and keeps you organized. The rollout drawers pull out toward you to allow for plenty of deep storage space.
